Ron Adams is the president of Ronald Adams Financial Planning Group, Inc., which is a financial planning firm that specializes in college funding advisory.

His financial planning practice has been nationally recognized. Senior Market Advisor magazine did a cover story and 6-page article recently. He is often asked to speak to groups of financial planners including a recent cruise on which he was a guest speaker to over 100 planners.

Ron is a Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS). He is a member of the National Institute of Certified College Planning Specialists and the National Association of College Funding Advisors.

Ron is President of the Sacramento Society of Financial Service Professionals and has been in the financial services/financial planning profession since 1971. He will jokingly tell you that he started when he was 10 years old.

"I became a college funding advisor because of my work with seniors. They would ask me to work with their children, assisting them with their own financial planning issues. Invariably I discovered a major concern was how to pay for four years of college for their children and still effectively address other major planning issues like retirement funding."

Ron has worked with hundreds of families in four ways:

1) Completion of the FAFSA and FAP forms required to receive financial aid.
2) Analysis and recommendations regarding student and parent assets and income to lower the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) to its lowest possible level.
3) Designing the most tax-favored and budget-minded way to pay for the remaining EFC.
4) Effective tools to choose career paths, college majors, and the best college for each student based on up to dozens of criteria.
